Hello, reader! This post will be a brief one: what have I been doing these past two months? Let me show you a record of my daily activity (RR2 refers to the second part of Revolution Reign):
¡Hola, lector! Este post será breve: ¿qué hice estos últimos dos meses? Déjame mostrarte el registro de mi actividad diaria (RR2 se refiere a la segunda parte de «Revolución Reign»):
Not every working day was the same, of course. Some days involved a great deal of writing, others less so, and many were spent planning and doing worldbuilding. The raw word count looks like this:
No todos los días de trabajo fueron iguales, por supuesto. Algunos días fueron de mucha escritura, otros de menos, y hubo otros tantos de planeación y worldbuilding. El conteo de palabras en crudo se ve así:
The segment on the left is when I wrote the first draft of the novel, the gap in the middle is when I took a break (while writing another novel with the placeholder title Poison), and the segment on the right is the editing of RR2, which I’m still working on.
El segmento de la izquierda es cuando escribí el primer borrador de la novela, el espacio vacío en medio es cuando descansé (mientras escribía otra con el nombre temporario «Veneno») y el segmento de la derecha es la edición de RR2 en la que continúo trabajando.
So, as you can see, I’ve done a lot these past two months, but I’m afraid I have nothing new or exciting to share. I’m still making progress and I’m nearing the end of the edit, although of course there will then be another round of revisions and the English translation, so both languages can be released together as always.
Así que ya ven, estos últimos dos meses hice mucho, pero me temo que no tengo nada nuevo ni excitante que compartir. Sigo avanzando, estoy cerca del final de la edición, aunque por supuesto luego vendrá una nueva corrección y la traducción a inglés para que ambos idiomas salgan juntos como siempre.
I’m hopeful the book will be ready within the next two months, but it’s too early to say. I thought this first edit would take me less time; I underestimated how much needed fixing, and how much my mind is tempted by new ideas of angels, stars, and magic in the darkness.
Tengo esperanzas de que el libro esté listo en los próximos dos meses, pero es pronto para decir. Creí que esta primera edición me tomaría menos tiempo, subestimé cuánto era necesario arreglar y cuánto mi cabeza es tentada por nuevas ideas de ángeles, estrellas y magia en la oscuridad.
